In a Nutshell . . .

Lori Crispo is a former sports insurance executive turned fiction writer. She is also the mom of two pretty fabulous adult kids, two sweet-faced dogs, and one obnoxious 21-year-old cockatiel. Lori and her husband live in New York City and Asheville, NC, which means when she’s not writing, you can find her in the car driving along Route 81 (likely stopping at the Chick-fil-A in Staunton, VA—the halfway point—for a much-needed break).

Her fiction has earned Honorable Mention from Writer’s Digest, and her short stories have been published in The Write Launch, Raven’s Perch, WildSound Festival, and Short Fiction Break. Throughout her insurance career, Lori’s writing took the form of a blog, various newsletters, and a monthly column for Lacrosse Magazine—all focused on sports safety. She is a graduate of Smith College in French and Medieval Studies.

Beyond writing, reading, and talking about books @TheReadingBungalow on Instagram (or check out the reading list below), Lori serves on the board of Safe Harbor Children’s Center in Brunswick, GA, and volunteers with the North Carolina Writers’ Network Prison Outreach.
